Standard Wooden Pallet Designs
Stringer pallets and block pallets are two common types of flat pallets used for material handling and shipping. Stringer pallets are made of two or three parallel runners, known as “stringers,” that support the top and bottom deck boards. They are generally less expensive and lighter than block pallets, but may not be as durable or able to support as much weight.
Block pallets are made with solid, square blocks between the top and bottom decks, providing more stability and support. Block pallets are typically stronger and able to support heavier loads, but they can also be more expensive due to their construction.
